Nick Leggett

Designer

Give Nick nothing more than a title and a brief and he can create for you a fun, accessible and stylish layout design. Alternatively, throw him a couple of sample spreads and he'll apply your style to a new title or series. With an infallible eye for a good image, Nick has a knack for using photos and illustrations to maximum effect. He also has a great rapport with the many illustrators, photographers and model makers on his go-to list of freelances.

Vicky Egan

Project manager, editor and picture researcher

Vicky is a highly experienced project manager, editor and picture researcher. She is skilled at making the text work alongside the illustrations to achieve a clear, easy-to-follow narrative. She also loves to picture research the perfect images for a project, and will go the extra mile to source an obscure subject. Vicky will make sure your project is delivered on time and in tip-top shape ready for publication in UK and US English.

You've come up with a great concept and now you need presentation spreads and sales material - fast! Let us take the strain for you. Give us a brief and we'll create exciting and innovative layouts for you to take to the book fairs.

Your presentation layouts are 'good to go' and now you need the book creating... We are happy to run with your designs and project manage your title through to print-ready files. Need authors and illustrators? We are happy to commission them for you or to use your own trusted pool of creatives. We will manage photo research, design page layouts, edit text, fact check and commission proofreaders, indexers and Americanisers.

We 'get' tight deadlines and will turn things around fast to keep the project on schedule.

Editorial

Do you need pictures? We can source exciting images on any subject – from Monet to motor homes, dinosaurs to diggers, volcanoes to Weimaraners.
We work with a wide range of fabulous photo agencies, and are also happy to source photos from manufacturing companies and other less usual sources.

Picture research

Do you have a brilliant idea that you just don't have the time or resources to follow through on?
Let us do it for you. Drop us your 'sketch on the back of an envelope' and we'll develop it into presentation layouts and sales material to your spec.

Archive re-use

Do you have an archive of material gathering virtual dust? Show us what you've got and we'll find ways to re-use it with a twist!

Studio photography

We have a small photographic studio equipped with specialist lighting for occasional photo shoots. Photo commissions have included two titles on paper planes and a book of magic tricks using child models.
